Iheanacho Confident of Starting Shirt against Pharaohs

Iheanacho Confident of Starting Shirt against Pharaohs
Manchester City and Super Eagles striker, Kelechi Iheanacho is very confident Nigeria will come out victorious in the double fixture Africa Nations Cup qualifier against the Pharaohs of Egypt.
Iheanacho who was an unused sub in Nigeria’s 2nd leg World Cup qualifier against Swaziland, said he was looking forward to picking a starting shirt in today’s match.

The 19 years-old striker said, “No doubt the game will be tough, but by God’s grace we shall obtain the maximum points.
“I am fit and ready to start the match. I hope the coaching crew will consider me for the game.
“We know that the Pharaohs are good as most of their players are doing well in Europe and at home, but I am sure we will be victorious at the end of the game.
“There will be pressure from the fans which is normal in a match of this magnitude, but I urge them to be calm, even when the goals are not coming early.
“We know Nigerian fans are very passionate about the Super Eagles, but the Nations Cup is equally important to us. We know that we cannot afford to lose this opportunity, not after we were absent at the 2015 edition held in Equatorial Guinea.”
