JAMB Candidates, Tutorial Centres Protest Shoddy Conduct of JAMB Examinations

Thousands of candidates for the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination and members of Association of Tutorial School Owners of Nigeria on Tuesday staged a peaceful protest in Ilorin, Kwara state capital, over allegations of shoddy conduct of the examination body.

They claimed that such conduct consequently failed the affected candidates for no fault of theirs.
The protesters who matched through some streets in Ilorin decried the alleged attitude of the authorities of JAMB to see to the plights of the JAMB candidates in view of the alleged shoddy conduct of their examinations this year.
They urged the federal government to wade in and compel JAMB to deliberately reduce the cut off scores because of the anomaly in order to accommodate the interest of the affected candidates.
They claimed that this became the only option because it’s almost impossible for JAMB to be asked to conduct another nationwide examination considering all the factors .
